Glue Covermounting.

We covermount copies from short runs to tens of thousands of copies, taking us well into the millions per year.

Traditionally this has been done with clear tape, which is something secure, cost effective and fast. This option is still available and we hope will be for a long time to come.

Peoples environmental concerns regarding tape is something that we have taken seriously. Papertape options are available but come with a premium and impact the overall appeal of the product.

Covermounting can be done with glue dots (for smaller items) and glue strips for larger items although the adhesion depends on the exact products. This tends to be suited to small products.

This is exactly the scenario we offer gluing covermount services for. We have had for many years multiple Nordson covermounting systems.

These systems can be mounted onto many of our packaging lines and can covermount as a standalone operation or alongside another mechanical operation.

Our preferred glues are peelable and the affixed item can be easily removed from the magazines without damaging the gift or the cover.

A real bonus of the hotmelt glue is that the placement of the glue and the bead sizes are fully customisable to your needs, and as the glue goes onto the product in a hot liquid for the adhesion is quite impressive.

Why glue? Although glue is not strictly environmentally friendly, the aspects of the glue that comes from fossil fuels is a by product of oil refinement. This by product is only used in Glues and apart form this becomes a land fill product.
This reusage of a by product lessens the glues environmental impact as we should only be sending to landfill where totally necessary.
